We are officially operating fully again!

We are officially operating fully again. We have been able to do surgeries and anesthetic procedures for a few weeks now, but we were still unable to do x-rays. We officially got our digital radiographs back up and running today. We are so thankful for everyone's patience and understanding throughout this whole process, and we are so glad to be fully back.

If you have been waiting to schedule your pet for x-rays or an anesthetic procedure, please reach out to us, and we will help you get your pet scheduled.

We moved back into our original location on Friday, December 19th. We are still getting things back in order, so we are still unable to schedule any routine surgeries or radiographs as of yet, but we hope to be able to very soon. We are still continuing to see appointments as normal. We will let you all know when we are back to functioning fully again.

A note regarding the Holiday hours: We will be closing at 12pm on Christmas Eve, December 24th and New Year's Eve December 31st, and of course, we will be closed for Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

We hope you all have a safe and Merry Holidays!

We have temporarily moved across the street into the Aspen Gold Plaza next to the laundromat in Angel Fire, and we are resuming our normal office hours. We will be here for the next month, so if you have any appointments scheduled soon or need prescription refills, please come to our temporary location. Please check in at the office when you arrive.

Be advised that we will not be doing surgeries or anesthetic procedures in this temporary location, so if you do have any upcoming surgeries/anesthetic procedures this month, please call or text us to cancel. We will put you on a call list and call you once we know when we can schedule surgeries again.

Thank you all for your understanding as we navigate through these temporary changes.

Temporary Emergency Closing of Clinic

11/3/2025

We had an emergency in our building, a pipe burst and the clinic flooded. We had to move out of our space for remediation. We will not be able to do any surgeries, routine or emergency during this time. We will be very limited on our operations and seeing clients this week and possible next week as well. We will keep you all posted on where we are in our process of getting to operate fully again. If you have an upcoming appointment this week, and it is not urgent, please reschedule if possible. If we have already reached out to you, and you have not responded, please do so. If you have an emergency and need to reach Dr. Gaffney, you can call her cell phone: 575-613-3609. If she does not answer, we strongly suggest seeking veterinary care in Taos, Las Vegas, Raton, Santa Fe or Albuquerque. You can always email us, text or leave us a message on the clinic phone for any non-urgent requests. We will get back with you as soon as we are able.

We appreciate all of you and your understanding while we navigate this difficult situation.

Two Rabies positive animals in the village of Angel Fire

10/15/2019

 ATTENTION
Friends of the Valley,
We just wanted to post an update on some information for public safety in our area. Please be aware that we have had 2 confirmed Rabies cases and 1 possible unconfirmed case. (a bat & 2 skunks) The skunks were out during the day and came into contact with household pets. (All who are OKAY) If you see a wild animal acting abnormally, such as approaching animals or people without fear, be cautious. This is not normal behavior for them and is one of the symptoms of Rabies. If you have a concern or question about a wild animal please call us so the matter can be handled safely and correctly.
Feel free to call us and check if your pet's Rabies Vaccination is up to date or to schedule an appointment for them to get the vaccine.
