Veterinary Services

Pharmacy Services

Picture

We have our own online pharmacy. Clients can conveniently order online and have prescriptions sent directly to them.

Online Pharmacy
Our pharmacy is essentially stocked for our practice. We  will be able to send you home with most medications your pet needs. Occasionally, we will call in a prescription to a human pharmacy.  Angel Fire now has a Best Care Pharmacy which has been quite helpful in filling prescriptions for medications we don't stock.  If you have forgotten medicine for your pet and are not a regular client, we will need to contact your primary veterinarian to approve filling the medication. You may want to call our office first to be sure we stock the medication you need. For specialty compounded medications such as Diethylstilbestrol (DES) and specialty eye drops, please call at least one week in advance so your medication can have plenty of time to be prepared and shipped.

Laboratory Services

We have a blood chemistry analyzer that lets us do most of our lab work in-house within a couple of hours along with certain specialized tests. We now have a new hematology machine which allows us to do most of our hematology work within a matter of minutes. We still do manual hematology work if we need to get more information when the bloodwork is abnormal.

Radiology Services

Picture

We recently upgraded to digital radiology. This has enhanced our abilities to diagnose our patients. We are able to take better quality radiographs. It has decreased the time to take radiographs as there is no longer film to process. We are also able to email the radiographs to the client or to other veterinarians quickly and effectively.

Radiographs - 2 Views with Interpretation - $105

Radiographs - 1 View with Interpretation - $90

Radiographs - Additional View - $50

Dental Services

We perform prophylactic dental cleanings. We have a high speed dental drill that allows us to do more complicated teeth extractions if needed. We can also perform specialized procedures like root canals. We have a strong philosophy about cleaning your pet's teeth if they need it, even if they are older. If your pet has bad teeth and infected gums it can lead to kidney disease and heart murmurs. We highly recommend doing bloodwork on older pets before any anesthetic procedure to be sure they don't have any diseases we should be aware of.

Surgical Services

We do soft tissue surgery such as spays, neuters, tumor removals, bladder stone removals, and sutures for injuries and lacerations. We do not do any orthopedic surgery and may need to refer more complicated surgeries to a veterinary surgeon. We use an audible patient monitor that allows us to track your pet's heart beat and an ECG machine during your pet's surgery.  We can also monitor blood pressure if necessary.

The price is based off of what tooth is being extracted, how difficult it is to pull and if it requires sectioning the tooth or removing root tips. Also, depending on if your pet has teeth extractions and how infected the gums are, we may also send your pet home on pain medicine and antibiotics. These also are not included in the base price for teeth cleanings.

Prices for tumor removals, bladder stone removals, sutures for injuries/lacerations ect. are charged based off minutes per surgery. We are more than happy to give an estimate upon an examination of your pet.
